The unique self-levelling transport system moves the stairlift carriage along the low profile rail and automatically adjusts the speed and level of the seat when moving round corners, providing an exceptionally smooth ride. The stairlift's electronic programming ensures optimum performance at all times.

With a built-in soft start and stop facility, the Acorn 80 stairlift gives you a smooth comfortable ride every time, and you can be sure that your stairlift is always ready for use thanks to the integral rechargeable battery pack, even in the event of a mains power failure.

If there may a doorway near the foot of the stairs the optional automatic powered hinged rail is ideal. The lower section of the rail folds up and out of the way automatically as the stairlift travels up and down the staircase, allowing greater access at the foot of the stairs. This raises and lowers automatically as the stairlift travels up and down the staircase. When the stairlift is not is use, the rail is neatly out of the way and causes no obstruction.

The batteries that power the Acorn Stairway Climber are very common, off-the-shelf items, available from any battery supplier. With normal use, they stay good for an average of 3 years. They cost in the region of $70.00 per pair. Acorn supply the batteries for $35.00 each, plus shipping.

If I decide I need an Acorn Stairlift, how long will it be before it is installed?

Shouldn’t be a problem! We have a option called the Acorn Superglide Perch. It is particularly useful for those with limited knee articulation and for installations where the stairway is unusually narrow. If the staircase is at least 26" (66cms) wide, the Acorn Superglide Perch will do the job.

What is the Returns Policy?

Stair Chair Lifts are custom made product. The track is cut to the length of your stairs and custom made based on which side of the staircase to mount the unit. As this is a custom made product, cut to your specifications, it is non returnable. Once the manufacturer has cut the track, your order becomes non-refundable.
