Bed have independent head and foot controls, BUT THE WHOLE BED GOES UP AND

Why would someone need for a bed to go up and down?

NOTE: The 3-Motor Flex-A-Bed is considerably more expensive than a 3-Motor Hospital Bed, but comes in all the Normal Bed Sizes: Twin, Full, Queen and Dual King. And the Flex-A-Bed does not look like a Hospital Bed.
BUT, the Flex-A-Bed does not go too low. Without the Mattress,
the foundation height is 17" off the ground. So, you have to add the
height of the mattress to the equation. The Lowest Mattress Height
would be a 3" Latex or Memory Foam Pad; but we have a great selection of
7", 9" and 11" mattresses too. Remember, you have to add the height
of the mattress to the 17" foundation height.
The Flex-A-Bed has a 7" height adjustment
from top to bottom. Again, you have to add the height of the mattress
to the 24" foundation height adjustment. Example, if you have a 9"
mattress, you are not up to 33" height.
Hi-Low
The Flex-A-Bed Hi-Low is the ideal bed for those in home healthcare, or assisted living environments. In fact, no adjustable bed is more convenient than the Hi-Low model. The base can be raised and lowered vertically with a touch of a button — making the Hi-Low model ideal for customers who require additional assistance when entering or exiting the bed.

The Hi-Low model is available in twin, full, queen, and dual king in 74, 80 and 84 inch lengths.
The height of the Hi-Low model comes standard at 26 inches and can be raised with the hand control to a height of 33 inches. For customers requiring a lower height, the casters can be removed allowing the bed to be adjusted from 24 to 31 inches. Our optional low profile mattress further reduces the minimum height to 21 inches with or 19 inches without casters.

The Flex-A-Bed sits on (4) Locking Casters. It is also possible
to lower your Flex-A-Bed by not using the supplied Casters. If you
need to make your Flex-A-Bed lower than the specifications, let us go through
these details with you. We can also cut down the 4" foundation; and
recommend Low-Profile Adjustable Bed Mattresses.
Your Bed basically comes completely assembled. All you really
have to do is put in the Casters by hand, and put on the mattress retainer
bar. Everything is pretty much all ready assembled . . . just put on
